The location : The property would make an excellent base for a wonderful family holiday! just a short drive from the bay of Lancieux and the very sought after coastal village at St Jacut de la Mer, Here you have a choice of 11 wonderful safe sandy beaches and a good selection of beach activities during the summer months. The village boasts an excellent choice of restaurants, cafes/bars and there is an open market every Friday morning. Bike hire is also available at the beach snack/bar called ‘La Paillote’. Fishing on foot is a widely practiced activity on the main beach “La Rougeret” when the tide is out. Saint Jacut is also very popular for its beautiful coastal walks.
The many tourist attractions and our beautiful historic towns, Saint Malo, Dinan and Dinard, are all within 15/25 minutes driving distance from La Ville des Roches.
The local village: Ploubalay is 5 km from the property; here you have all the amenities you would expect to find in a small town, together with supermarkets and a good selection of cafes and restaurants.

- Changeover day during July and August, other seasons are flexible.
- Payment options : Euros by bank transfer.
- A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking.
- The remaining balance is due to be paid 4 weeks prior to the rental period.
- Bookings made within 4 weeks of the start of the rental period, require full payment at the time of booking.
- £200 returnable damage deposit cheque: 2 weeks prior to arrival, please send by post to the following address, – Brittany Connections, La Ville Oudry, 22130 Crehen, FRANCE.
- Heating charges – During the low & mid seasons (Jan to April & Oct to Dec 2018) allowance 500 KW per week. Anything consumed over this limit will be charged at local tariff EDF rates.

A very relaxing stay at La Villes des Roches. A wonderful house which has been renovated to a very good standard, spacious, light and airy with a lovely south facing terrace. All in all a great place to stay whilst you explore the beautiful Brittany Coastline. Highly recommended.

Nous vous recommandons sans hésitation cette belle propriété, spacieuse, confortable, bien équipée, très bien entretenue et tout à fait conforme à sa description. L’endroit est calme, reposant, idéal pour se ressourcer en famille. We had three glorious weeks at La Ville des Roches, in what turned out to be the hottest September in over 100 years. The gite was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and w as an ideal base for visiting many of the towns and coastal areas of this beautiful part of Brittany. We had many days when we were able to laze in the late afternoon and early evening sunshine, while enjoying a few glasses of wine in the large, private garden. Booking was very straightforward, and Judith was most helpful and efficient during the process. We would recommend this lovely holiday home. Thank you, Judith. Ian and Trish.

Fabulous holiday, this was a good sized property for us as we have two teenage kids who want a bedroom each. This is a very well appointed property and we felt well cared for. The location is very relaxing and has easy access to St Malo and the coast, the area is good for cycling, if you bring your bikes. The vast grounds are lovely and our dog had a wonderful holiday too…thank you Judith, we hope to be back soon….

Reviewed : Fantastic house and very large garden in a great location to visit the beautiful sandy beaches of Saint Jacut de la Mer, Saint Briac su Mer and the rest of the coast, as well as being close to Dinan and lovely walks on the River Rance. The house is very well equipped and has a real home from home feel rather than a holiday let. Looking forward to returning.

We came to this part of Brittany last May and wanted to return this year. The property we were going to book was already taken, but the owner Judith recommended a property 100 meters down the road. La Ville De Roches. It sounded perfect so we booked it. This was our first proper holiday without our daughters (all now grown up), but we still liked the idea of renting a full size property. Well, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how lovely this property is. It looks great from the outside and the garden is huge! The owners have obviously spent a lot of time and money developing the property. The outside seating area is perfect for catching the sun and relaxing outside. The key point for us was the peace and quiet. You could sit and listen to the birds singing and just chill with a large glass of wine. The other point to note is that you are only 15/20 minutes from Dinan, Dinard or St.Malo, even closer to some wonderful beaches and village markets. For couples its great for peace and quiet. For families you would never get bored and the kids can run around in a safe area. All in all a cracking location We should be keeping it a secret just for us!
