La Metrie is located in a peaceful hamlet, yet only a short drive from the wonderful golden sandy beaches at Lancieux and St Jacut de la Mer, here you will find many activities such as yachting, dingy sailing, sand yachting, wind surfing, canoeing and tennis.

This very up market country cottage, retains the feeling of a famly  home and has been restored to a very high standard, equipped with all modern conveniences, beautifully furnished and decorated throughout.  Definatly a must for a fabulous family holiday!

OPEN/PLAN KITCHEN DINING ROOM:

 Beamed, open plan, fully fitted kitchen and dining area with lovely views overlooking the beautiful terrace and enclosed garden.

This area is equipped with very attractive modern kitchen units, oven, electric hob - hood - large fridge/freezer - dishwasher - microwave. Large dining table seating for 8 at ease. TV receiving English satellite channels, radio/CD player. Ultra modern dual aspect fireplace set in wall.

LOUNGE AREA:

  Very relaxing comfortable lounge area with fireplace, tastefully furnished with (IKEA style): 3 seater leather sofa, leather armchairs, modern sideboard - bookcase - shelving units - coffee and side tables. Very well equipped with TV receiving English satellite channels - DVD/CD player - HI FI system - selection of children's and adult's games and books.

GROUND FLOOR BATHROOM:

Beautiful bathroom - large bath - ultra modern stainless steel washstand - heated towel rail and toilet.

UTILITY ROOM:

Equipped with: washing machine - tumble dryer - fridge/freezer - iron and ironing board  and ample storage space.

 BEDROOM 1: MASTER BEDROOM

Staircase leading from the lounge area to a very light, south facing, spacious double bedroom with "petite en-suite dressing room with teak washstand". Furnished with a king-sized double bed (1m.60) - 2 chest of draws -

Staircase leading from the kitchen to 2 south facing bedrooms and an attractive shower room.

BEDROOM 2: Furnished with a double bed (1m.40) - shelving units - French pine armoire - Portable TV with DVD player.

BEDROOM 3:  Ideally used for a children's bedroom - furnished with bunk beds and a single bed - shelving units - equipped with a radio DVD player and a few children's toys.

SHOWER ROOM:

 With large shower cubicle - washstand - heated towel rail and toilet.

WITHIN THE GROUNDS  

This detached property has the advantage of being secluded within it's own grounds, and has a fabulous south facing terraced area, equipped with a Large garden table and benches - sun loungers - BBQ - sun parasols - outside shower.

 

The garden is very pleasant with a variety of trees and flowering shrubs, very safe for children to play in and is equipped with a garden swing.

BOOKING INFORMATION

 

Bookings are from Saturday 4pm / Saturday 10 am

Electricity included in summer season prices.

During cold spells (from October to April), guests will be accountable for the electricity they consume at local tariff rates.

Duvets and pillows provided - Bed linen & towels service available on request.

We have to offer -  Long term winter breaks at very reasonable rates, please contact us for further details.

  TERMS AND RENTAL CONDITIONS CONTRACT    

 

 

3)  Complet, date and sign the booking form, read, date and sign the terms & conditions and return these to us by post with the deposit. (A 30% deposit is required this secures your holiday reservation).

 

4) The balance and the returnable damage deposit cheque (£200) are due 6 weeks prior to your arrival (this cheque will be retained and returned to you within 2 weeks after your departure, if no damages have occurred during your stay).

ABOUT THE SURROUNDING AREA

 

 

The cottage is within very easy reach of the beautiful ancient walled town of St Malo with its attractive narrow winding cobbled streets and hosts of wonderful restaurants.  Even closer  is the elegant Edwardian seaside resort of Dinard with lovely fine sandy beaches, children’s beach club and a choice of many water sports, this is also popular for its designer shops and the bustling nightlife at the Casino. Explore at your leisure the charming quaint town of Dinan with picturesque buildings and medieval castle and ramparts.

Brittany Ferries channel crossing: Portsmouth-St Malo.

Condor Ferries have a daily car and passenger service from Weymouth and Poole to St Malo: (May to September)
